Memoirs of a Single Dad provides relationship blog SEO – search engine optimization for bloggers of all shapes and sizes. What do I mean ‘relationship’ blog SEO? Most website owner’s experience with an SEO company is a very flat one. They’re a company just like any other. They are in business to make money, plain and simple. The SEO company you hire may or may not actually improve your rankings but what did you really get out of this relationship? Did you learn anything? Are you any closer to being self-sufficient and optimizing or at least maintaining your site for search engines? Do you plan on paying that SEO company every time your rankings fall or every time you want to increase rankings in a specific keyword? Most SEO companies don’t take the time to truly evaluate a web site owner’s needs. They may properly diagnose what is required for the site – in the short term, but SEO is not a short-term project nor should it be considered a short-term investment. Having a relationship with your SEO provider becomes crucial to the long-term success of your blog’s search engine ranking.
Whether you’re trying to raise traffic, Google page rank (PR) or just interested in learning more, I can help! My approach to helping sites with their SEO needs comes in three steps:
Blog SEO Step 1: Analysis
All SEO clients are provided with a custom ranking analysis for the keywords and phrases they most want to see improvement in on their site (and perhaps a few others I feel may be of value). My analysis is presented in two forms: an MS Word doc that narrates each of the areas of improvement along with an Excel spreadsheet of data to back up and illustrate my recommendations for improvement. By way of a phone or Skype call, I provide my clients with a detailed explanation of my findings, explaining each piece of information in as much or little detail as is desired for the site owner to understand their site’s SEO needs. If necessary or desired, a remote screen sharing session can also be scheduled to further illustrate real-life examples pointed out in my analysis documentation.
Examples of both my Word document narrative as well as my Excel data spreadsheet are available upon request.
Blog SEO Step 2: Optimization
In step 2, we take the analysis one step further and not only recommend corrective action but also provide services to improve search rankings, page ranking (PR) and site visibility. If you’re not comfortable making the changes recommended during the analysis phase on your own, we’re more than happy to do them for you! From on-page optimization tasks such as page, header, title and description optimization to off-page optimization, we can handle all of your SEO tasks.
Blog SEO Step 3: Relationship SEO
In step 3, we take SEO to the next level. Not only do we analyze and optimize your site’s SEO needs but we also take steps to maintain and even improve your long-term ranking potential through strategic SEO plans, two-way communication and on-going education of the site owner. Many site owners make the mistake of “optimize and forget” when in reality site SEO is a process, not a static event. If you want to ensure your site’s ranking potential for the long-term the only way to do that is through Relationship SEO.
